I. Introduction
The use of batteries has been increased significantly for renewable energy integrations in power grids and to power up electric vehicles (EVs). The increasing use of batteries in electro-mobility, having a significant share in energy systems, is going to replace the toxic gasoline and diesel fuel based systems. Hybrid, electrical and plug in hybrid vehicles (PHEV)have significant impact on the transport sector[1], since emission from these vehicles are lower than traditional fuel engines. Also, the cost of battery energy is decreasing over the past few years, while the performance of batteries is expected to be higher in the electrical grid and automotive industries[2]. The performance parameters are: lower cost, longer range and lifetime, safety and reliability. Newer technologies are being developed continuously in the battery industries to be able to use battery energy in a more efficient way.
