I. Introduction
Electric vehicles (EVs) are environmentally friendly and are viewed as a promising option for reducing environmental pollution. Consequently, a rapid increase in electric car adoption is projected in the following years. Nonetheless, if the electricity to charge the EVs is taken from the grid, we will use more fossil fuels and, thus, harm the environment more. Therefore, electric vehicles are combined with renewable energy sources (RES) to achieve economic and environmental perks. Since the charging rate of EVs is controlled, they may be considered variable loads in the distribution system.
