Abstract:
Due to the motion errors, synthetic aperture sonar (SAS) maybe suffers from slight deviation of Doppler centroid. If the inaccurate Doppler centroid is used for imagery, the SAS image would be seriously affected. To some degree, there is no need to estimate the Doppler ambiguity, as the sidescan SAS system is mainly discussed in this paper. At this point, it is very important to estimate the Doppler centroid. In this paper, we mainly discuss the Doppler centroid estimation based on Radon transformation. Then, the real data is used to validate the presented method. The processing results show that the presented method can well estimate the Doppler centroid.
