I. Introduction
The remarkable development in fabrication technology of REBCO CC tapes and their superior properties makes it potentially attractive to other power device applications such as motors, power cables, and SMES. [1], [2]. Coated conductors received much attention on magnetic applications due to their promising potentials particularly their lower magnetic susceptibility as compared with the BSCCO tapes. For the issue of electro-mechanical properties, specifically in rotating machines, SMES and magnets where CC tapes will be subjected to external magnetic field, understanding the behavior of current carrying capacity response on strain under magnetic field is essential to ensure their performance under operation.
