I. Introduction
Malaysia is among the highest country in the world hits by lightning activity, for example, the average lightning day just for Kuala Lumpur reaches 180–300 days per year. Approximately, 8% of lightning current discharged into the ground in Malaysia and potential to generate 50~100 million volts [1]. In addition, Holle [2] estimated sums 24,000 were killed and 240,000 injured each year due to lightning. The existence of lightning can be associated with water vapor transport in the tropospheric cavity. The occurrence of the water vapor on the region due to lifting process was caused by the heating of air near the ground surface, which was itself warmed by sunlight. The collision mechanism among the ice particles causes the electrical charge separation leading to lightning. The stronger the updrafts will be increased the chances of charge transfer between graupel particles and ice particles. During the collision, discriminatory electron transfer of ice particles to graupel particles affects the process of electrification of convective clouds to form lightning [3].
