1 Introduction
The role of a social network in influencing the choices of its users, is very prominent. The ease and extent of access that a mobile phone has to its user's information is well known. It can easily support social networking because it can effectively model the user's social connections based on the relationship between a caller and a callee [4]. Therefore, under the notion that a person is expected to be in a network of people with similar interests and behaviour, we try to predict the demographics of that person based on his social connectivity and mobile usage behaviour. The reasons for making this attempt, is that the demographics of mobile phone prepaid customers are not readily available and even if they are, they tend to be inaccurate.
