1. Introduction
Digital museum such as digital science&technology museum is an important online education platform to popularize science. They make science easily accessible and encourage the excitement of discovery. They are an integral and dynamic part of the learning environment. However, at present, most digital museums are very restrictive as they can only cope with the retrieval by keywords. Often a user knows only a rough idea of the information that he wishes to search rather than a set of keywords. Application of keyword-based indexing techniques to such situations is ineffective to those people who are not professional in computer. To alleviate this predicament, natural language processing (NLP) techniques are widely exploited. Moreover, the existing query system always searches within the local database. Grid-enabled web searching is implemented in this paper.
