I. Introduction
Interleaved operation of parallel three-phase voltage-sourced converters (VSCs) have been proposed in the literature [1]–[5] for use in various applications, such as UPS, HVDC, motor drives, and renewable energy systems. Similar techniques have been applied in three-phase and single-phase PWM rectifiers [6], [7]. In addition to the common advantages of modular designs such as reduced development cost, redundancy, and easy scalability, interleaved operation, in which the carrier signals of different modules are phase shifted from each other, also provides an opportunity to completely eliminate or significantly reduce some of the harmonics of the VSC output by virtue of harmonic cancellation among the output of different modules.
