I. Introduction
Eddy currents in windings at medium-high frequencies (from tens of kilohertz) affect not only the losses but also the overall field shape. Both are concerns in the design and optimization of magnetic components considering, in addition, that they are coupled by means of the so-called proximity effect. For the purpose of minimizing them or estimating a steady-state temperature of operation, it may be necessary to calculate these losses. The main objective of this paper is to obtain a resistance representing the losses based on a development of the vector potential including the effect of induced currents in conductors.
